It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

At least in my Etsy Shop! I have a line of jewelry that is made from recycled Christmas tree ornaments. Glass trees and snowmen wire wrapped and made into cute holiday earrings and necklaces, my biggest hit so far at Etsy! The would make great stocking stuffers or small gifts for co-workers.

Don't forget to check out my crocheted green wire with red Czech beads and golden yellow beads. Its adjustable and festive, featured in crocheting wire article.

My Masterpiece

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7829013

I don't know why, but this is my favorite. Two strands of gray, black, and white ceramic beads alternating with black beads. A wire wrapped mmmmm donut hanging from the outer strand. Classy, dressy, formal. Goes well with turtlenecks and V-necks. Wear it, be a head turner. Originally listed at $59.00, relisted at a discount $52.00 The materials themselves were more expensive than those of anything else I've made before.

Crocheting Wire, Not as Easy as Yarn

Go Figure.

I figured I 'd give it a try. I've made two, well, three pieces so far. The first one, not quite a disaster, but a work in progress for sure. Like most my whoopsies, it will end up my own, or a gift for my mom. Certainly wouldn't charge anybody for it.

My second was a chain stitch choker with Czech glass tear drop shaped "amethyst colored" beads. The wire is a deep blue. I made it adjustable with a hook and some chain stiches without the beads. It had over a hundred hits at etsy in the first day. No purchases though.

The third is a Christmas choker. Green copper wire single stitched with red Czech beads and golden glass beads. Also adjustable using a large red bead that can feed through any single stitch. There's a picture of it in my store

Currently I sell jewelry, lanyards, and bookmarks - all beaded.
