Magdalene Jewels and Magdalene Knits

I was very excited to see that my partner in crime on the EtsyBlogger's team blog, co-poster of the team's monthly MiniMondays, is the featured teammate of the month! What a well deserving member. I enjoy looking at her jewelry, knitted items, and reading her blog, particularly looking at her cat pictures that are sometimes her Wordless Wednesdays! A quote from her blog profile:
"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it."
Her positive outlook reflects in her beautiful work. She has a jewelry shop (MagdaleneJewels) and a knot shop (MagdaleneKnits) on Etsy, both with creative items.

She does a lot of work with Swarovski crystals, like in her Ruby Earrings.

She has a wedding line, featuring the Imagine necklace.

Her knit (and crochet) shop has cute baby clothes, baby shoes, and adult items, such as scarves.

Don't forget to check out her blog!

Irish Inspired

St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays. It's a fun day without the stress that comes along with some other holidays. My mom made it fun, feeding me green food such as green eggs and ham, green milk and pistachio pudding in a graham cracker crust. As an adult I still still crave that pistachio pudding pie, and my husband and I try to have a night out for some beer and Irish pub food. I have a mix of several nationalities in my family tree, but I definitely love celebrating the Irish that I get from my mom's family. Hopefully this time next year I will be planning a trip to Ireland for my husband and I!

Here it is, almost March, and I have some green jewelry to share with you. So whether you are looking for something to accent your St. Patrick's Day green attire, or just something green for an early jump on spring, here are some items you might like! The Words Behind the Jewelry

I was very excited when my friend Deb, who goes by the alias Storybeader, was announced to be the featured seller for the Etsy Bloggers Team this month. Deb describes herself as a frustrated writer who likes to put words and colors together to make them wearable art. Deb includes a unique gift with each purchase - a haiku that she personally wrote specifically for that piece.

When she's not making jewelry, she is reading a dictionary or thesaurus, playing with her dog, or chatting away in our team forum.

Check out her jewelry below and poetry below:

Unakite Fetish Bear Necklace

The bears walked into
The campsite wearing crowns of
Gold they had stolen.

Tipi Treasure Necklace

"Doves Rising"
The young woman looked
Out the tipi towards the white
Doves and rising sun.

Turquoise and Coral Choker

Natural nuggets
Setting off on the path to
The sea, you and me.

Be sure to visit her shop and to Stroll Through Storyland - her blog. You will be able to tell right away that she is a great writer!
